The boys dusted off the step ups in Spain this week. And on any coast that’s a cause for celebration, or as some might call it, a holiday. So it’s safe to say Christmas came early for anybody that suited up and paddled out with the Santa Marina crowd. Basque country may get a majority of the spotlight in the Spanish surf scene, but it was clearly well worth the drive up north to the Cantabria region for some folks who got the best waves of their winter. And for the crowd that lives here year round, they’re awfully happy they stayed home for the winter.
