The Inertia

As wonderful as Indonesia’s reputation is, there are waves around the region most surfers wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole. Located on the far corner of Western Sumatra, Nias is home to many magnificent spectacles, including one of the most beautiful, most hollow right-handers in the world. For starters, Nias has a frightening signature takeoff that requires those ballsy enough to air drop out of the sky and sneak under the lip with just inches separating a surfer and the razor sharp reef below.
