People Fight. We can’t seem to get past that in our society. But in outdoor sports, fighting is supposed to be limited to the sand, where locals battle over waves. But here’s proof that just isn’t true. While not all of these run-ins lead to fisticuffs, they’re shining examples of how not to act on the slopes this winter.
Mad Dad Punches Snowboarder
The father’s behavior in the video below goes against all the sensibilities of rational humans. After a young snowboarder at Snowbasin, Utah runs into his son, and before checking on his own kid’s well being, this maniacal father smacks the snowboarder in the face. A local Utah newspaper tried to fuel the drama but it was pretty much over after the father finished acting like a dick.
Canadian Dad Tells Snowboarders to ‘Piss Off, Eh’
This Canadian was really pissed these punk snowboarders stole his Kokanee, or maybe it was that they tried to run him off the cat track? Hard to tell with al the “eh’s” thrown in there. Nonetheless, everyone gets a bit out of line in this one, especially when the snowboarder takes his shirt off to fight in the snow. We’re not sure what that move was.
One Douche Deserves Another
This video is especially weird. A snowboarder plays the victim, using cheap captions he throws in the vid he made on iMovie and acts like he was wronged by the aging skier. Only he forgets that old guys rule. He then proceeds to act like a 6-year-old Montessori student, but with a lesser vocabulary, as grandpa calls his bluff.
Pa-Trolling
This is pretty awesome, actually. A snowboarder accidently takes out a ski patrolman and is so damn nice, the patroller can’t do anything but swallow his own tongue. But before he chokes, he manages this gem: “I came down hard on my ass; I’m going to have a F*&%*&% problem skiing.”
Big Bear Beat Down
Nothing like a Southern California resort to bring out the best in drunk snowboarders visiting from the city. This little group beatdown is the only one of our picks that didn’t actually start on the slopes. Looks like someone’s pissed their team was losing at that Super Bowl Party in the lodge.
Your Daddy Has More Money Than Mine
Ah, high school kids playing out the rich skier stereotype. Internet gold. These two geniuses start with a fist fight, which quickly devolves into cat-calling over who’s daddy has more money.
