It’s easy to get so caught up counting calories that you forget what calories are intended to count. At the end of the day, the number on the box on that pack of crackers doesn’t really matter. What does is that you’re properly balancing the energy you take in with the energy you put out. Despite what diet regimes make you believe, calories aren’t inherently bad. Yes, consuming too many of them takes its toll, but so does consuming too few. Our bodies need calories like a car needs gas: there has to be at least something in the tank to get you to the beach.
