Waking up on Monday mornings is a struggle to say the least. It’s hard enough to get yourself out of bed, but to get your brain awake and functioning can feel almost impossible. This zesty juice is just the ticket to help get your Monday off on the right foot. The citrus adds a nice boost of vitamin C for immunity and energy, the ginger helps soothe your digestive tract, and the turmeric has anti-inflammatory benefits. Follow it up with a cup of coffee, and you’ll be ready to roll.
Ingredients
2 small oranges, peeled
1 small lemon, peeled
1 small lime (1/2 if it’s big), peeled
1 inch piece of ginger cut into slices
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 1/2 tbsp honey
a pinch of sea salt
1/3 cup of water
ice cubes for serving
Directions
-Combine all ingredients in a blender.
-Strain if you’d like to remove some of the pulp.
-Serve over ice. Add salt and honey to taste.
