If you haven’t heard his name, you should have. Corran Addison is one of the most unconventional waterman on the planet. And one of the most talented. He can surf, paddle a kayak at a world class level (he was an Olympian for South Africa) and of course paddle a SUP. The innovative designer who has developed and sold several paddlesports brands over the years, pretty much sticks this 15-foot waterfall in Quebec on his SUP. Paddlers have recently gotten closer and closer to nailing waterfalls in the whitewater realm and Addison has been as close as any. “To me, falling ONTO the board and standing back up again is the SUP version of an Eskimo Roll (in a kayak),” he says. “Yeah you rolled, it wasn’t “clean”, but you did stick it. It wasn’t a swim.”
