February 25th was a big day for surfing. For starters, it was the day the Eddie went. A massive swell showed up on the charts, charging its way across the Pacific on track to make landfall within the waiting period for the world’s most fickle contest. Of course, when a swell of that magnitude slams into Hawaii’s fabled coastline, it’s not just Waimea that lights up–and in this case, Jaws turned into something for the ages.
