Few things in life are better than getting barreled off your catookus. On that short list of such things is definitely the anticipation of getting barreled off your catookus. Waking up before the sun knowing it’s firing, making jokes with a buddy about how barreled you’re about to get, who’s going to get more barreled, then finally pulling up to the point and both of you simply point, yell, drop your jaws, triumphantly throw your hands in the air, frantically putting on your wetsuit faster than ever before and maybe even start laughing hysterically; because you’re about to get so barreled.
Somehow, having a friend alongside for a journey across borders, all in search of those great waves, just fuels the excitement. No coincidence this is why we use the word “stoked” so much. Nothing is more fitting.
