Jordy Smith is on fire in Portugal. Not too long ago, he wasn’t much of a world title contender. Quietly, though, he snuck his way in there. In his quarter-final heat against Seabass, where a loss would have all but assured a world title for John John, Smith slipped into the thick-lipped chocolate tube you see above. It was, of course, a perfect 10, giving him a heat total of 17.40, up from the combo situation he’d been in just a few waves previous.
