Surfing’s not a sport, not matter how much the people who run the competitive side of it try and convince you. It’s a pastime, an art, a thing to make you feel good. It’s fun, and nothing more. Of course, where it gets a little confusing is when you take into account that some people think of competition as fun, and when there are judges scoring it. Isn’t it then a sport? How does one define the undefinable? And does it matter at all?
The video above comes from Rhythm. “Surf, water, and music elements come together in a logic symphony creating a universal expression called art,” they wrote. “Each element has its own logic. Each element has its own independent senses. Merge these and you now have – Nonsense Logic.” How very logical.
It features a very stylish surfer name Eurico Romaguera. What’s perhaps more impressive than his surfing is that his hair manages to stay absolutely perfect through the entirety of the video.
See more from Romaguera on Instagram, and follow Rhythm there, too.
