The Inertia

Winter is just about on, and day passes aren’t cheap. Make the most of snow season by grabbing a smoking deal on a season pass. There are a lot of options out there. We looked around for the best deals unlocking dozens of freeride parks and vast, steep terrain in areas of the Sierra-Nevada and the Colorado Rockies and even went so far as to include places like Revelstoke and Zermatt, Switzerland.

Disclaimer: Some of these deals only last until Nov. 15, so pounce now before they melt.

Tahoe Super Pass
Though it’s called the Tahoe Super Pass, these passes from Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows open up a lot of vertical terrain — not to mention 16 terrain parks — in the Sierra, the Rockies, the Wasatch, Canada and more.

For those who don’t plan to travel outside the Lake Tahoe region, consider the $499 pass for Squaw and Alpine Meadows, or the $629 pass for Squaw and Alpine Meadow plus Sierra-at-Tahoe and Sugar Bowl.

The luxe $899 pass includes the above resorts and also throws in two days in Zermatt, Switzerland and half-price tickets at any Mountain Collective resorts, including heavy-hitters like Mammoth, Alta, Snowbird, Telluride, Aspen Snowmass, Revelstoke and more.

These prices only last until Nov. 15, though. Pull the trigger now if this works for you.

Vail Resorts
Listen up, powder hounds looking to do most of your shredding in the Colorado Rockies or the Lake Tahoe area. For $849, you can cop the Epic Pass, the Cadillac of season passes, especially if you’re mulling a winter trip to Europe. It gives you unlimited access to Colorado’s Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Park City resorts as well as Northstar, Heavenly and Kirkwood in the Lake Tahoe area. Also included are 30 resorts on the other side of the pond, and five non-holiday days at Whistler Blackcomb resort.

The discount version, the $649 Epic Local Pass, let’s you have your unlimited way with Breckenridge, Keystone, Mt. Brighton, Arapahoe Basin, and more restricted access to Park City, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood resorts.

Don’t sleep: This deal disappears on Nov. 20.

Calif4nia Pass
Southern Californians who want to stay local, this one’s for you. The $849 Calif4nia Pass grants access to Mammoth, June Mountain, Bear Mountain, and Snow Summit, plus some hefty perks: first tracks at Mammoth for early opening days and half-off lift tickets for the homies. Be warned: The $849 price tag jumps up $200 after Nov. 15.
