Regardless Check out the footage these dudes took of a white, hairy-looking “yeti” on a snowy back road near the Urals in western Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan. Driver Vadim Gilmanov admitted it could easily have been a hoax: “I mean, it could have been someone’s cruel prank,” he said. “But on the other hand, who else could dash out so quickly in the middle of the night? In the middle of nowhere.” Yeah, that would have to be a prankster extremely dedicated to the hoax.
As an interesting aside, the video description talks about a 1954 expedition to Everest (the Snowman Expedition) in search of the abominable snowman, rumors and stories of which had been passed around by Buddhist monks in the region for centuries.
Before you roast us, the video has shown up on several news outlets around the world expressing skepticism. The same stretch of road has had several “yeti” sightings. But this little piece of video certainly feeds the legend.
