Seal Beach doesn’t often turn into a mutant powerhouse. Normally, it’s a placid, beautiful stretch of coastline–a happy little place with great potential for great waves. Everyone knows what can happen when the right swell comes around… it’s just that it takes a little something extra. Thankfully (for viewers and surfers alike), when it does turn up the volume, it becomes something unlike anywhere else in the world. Check out last January’s El Nino powered sand enemas, for instance. Or 30 straight minutes of carnage and glory from the same time period. And of course, because three’s company, here’s a little more mutant Seal Beach for your viewing pleasure.
This particular little clip comes to you courtesy of Anthony Delbono (see more on Youtube), and features Jordy Smith, Colton Tisch, Kanoa Igarashi, Yadin Nicol, Kolohe Andino and many others, all of whom probably tested the strength of their spines on Seal Beach’s shallow sand.
