Oscar Langburne is 14 years old. That is far too young to surf with this kind of aplomb, but Langburne’s got it. His style oozes inspiration–which, according to Monster Children, is Beau Foster, Luke Hynd, Bryce Young, and perhaps most obviously, Craig Anderson. While most groms are focussed on lip bashing and aerials, Langburne’s got the cocked back knee and love for the high line that comes most easily with a love for the glide.
The video above was made by Eye Symmetry. It’s an interesting idea: Langburne paired up with Tom Carroll in New Zealand, riding boards covered in the art of MadSteez, an American artist. Oh, and guess what? Oscar’s now officially part of the Former team.
