Since 1974, Hermosa Beach locals have tested their man- and womanhood against one another in a contest for the ages: run a mile, paddle a mile (prone), then chug a six-pack of beer. It’s become a Southern California tradition for the Fourth of July.
Well, this year’s Ironman got a little messy. KTLA reporter Wendy Burch was embedded in the mayhem and it probably wasn’t that fun. She was trying to get the inside scoop from competitors while they were losing their s*** all around her (check out the guy who keeps coming in and out of the picture in the upper right-hand corner). Well, she finally had it after about the third time somone blew chunks on her. An actual email and phone call were not immediately returned by Burch. We doubt she wanted to relive the episode anyway.
