The military has so much going on we don’t know about. Or hear about often enough. If ever. This is MASK, the Navy’s acronym for Maneuvering and Seakeeping basin located in Carderock, Maryland. It’s part of its Surface Warfare Center where they test everything from angles on new boat designs to underwater artillery and how the sea and its elements affect those technologies.
But they apparently don’t surf in the 12-million-gallon basin. What the hell? Kelly’s Wave or Wavegarden tech would go off in this thing. Business Insider put together this video piece that looks at this Naval testing center that could be….well, use your imagination.
