The Inertia

Sometimes in life, a pastime becomes an obsession. For many, it’s surfing. For others, however, it’s something else. It could be anything, really–working out, alcohol, running, etc–but in the case above, it was cleaning garbage. What began as a simple day-to-day habit became a full-time job, and it wasn’t one that paid.

“Things escalated,” Matt Beacham explained. “I started to be displeased with seaweed in general. Because generally you go to the beach and there are piles of seaweed, right? So I just didn’t like that. I like pure sand. Pure, pristine beaches.”
