In an effort to avoid the onshore winds and some stormy conditions in France, myself, Mathieu Marechal, and Thomas Martin spent two days searching for waves in Spain. Sure enough, we found sun and warmer temperatures just two hours away from home.
We had no idea what we would find. We’d followed nothing more than hunches based on internet research and came up empty-handed several times thanks to the wrong tide here or a bad swell direction there. Eventually, we did come across two waves none of our research would have led us to. This is Mathieu and Thomas finding their first waves of the year in an unexpected place.
