Nepal is a magical place. And the gateway to the Himalayas is still remote, as many villages in the country aren’t connected by roads but a separate and intricate series of trails, which makes the place perfect for mountain biking. But until recently, it’s been a sport reserved mostly for Nepali men. Or at least it seemed that way.
Moksha, a film produced by AndShesDopeToo, might change that stereotype. The film will be streamed live next week, March 8 and the story follows three Nepali women, Roja, Usha, and Nishma. The documentary shows their journey, competing across Asia and becoming the first certified female mountain bike guides in their country–not to mention being role models for young women everywhere.
Again, the film will be free online March 8 for International Women’s Day. Get more info about the stream and the group AndShesDopeToo, here.
