Southern California is often venerated as one of the few places in the world you can surf, skateboard, and snowboard in a single day during winter months. The California Trifecta, they call it.
Well, no offense to the Golden State, but with a little creativity it is possible to surf and snowboard and skate in a single day elsewhere. Case in point: the fine city of Boise, Idaho. Our own Joe Carberry calls the place home and has recounted to us how fun the local river wave is, and how good the snow can get. We’re jealous.
