The Inertia

Arriving on time to meetings is important. Scott Holt lives in Jersey City and was apparently late for one in New York City. He wasn’t having the commute. So he jumped on his paddleboard and started stroking his way across the Hudson River, no easy task given the morning boat traffic, especially in dress shoes. Commuter Eunice Rivers (who was on a ferry Thursday) captured the footage–which went viral because apparently, New Yorker’s don’t know what paddleboards are (kidding). Hey, it’s not every day you see an office-bound messiah walking on water.

Holt made it on time to the meeting with a potential manager (he’s an aspiring comedian) but the manager didn’t sign him (real story, claims Holt). He did, however, manage to piss off a Water Taxi captain and an NYC policeman. The cop was in a much better mood than the Water Taxi Captain.

“The Waterway guy was straight out of a movie, screaming, ‘Are you trying to f****** die out here?'” Holt told local media. “He was being helpful but cursing me out at the same time.”
