Over the last several days, one of the largest swells in decades has produced surf well into the bonkers category across Indonesia. It’s turned spots you might not normally associate with rhino chasers into legit big wave spots where those with access to personal watercraft are even electing to tow-in.
This is easily some of the biggest Uluwatu we’ve seen in recent years and surfer Eloy Lorenzo Junior gets a jetski-assist into a supersized version of one of the place’s famous roping walls. To call it a gem of a wave is, in this case, not a metaphor as it shimmers and glistens along the reef. Makes you almost forget how terrifying it’d be to take one of these bad boys on the head.
