Jamie O’Brien’s vlog is never about any one thing. It’s about wipeouts and tubes and whomping and laughing. It’s about surfing and pranks and generally being a bunch of dummies. Of course, it’s got to have a title which works better if it’s specific, but then everyone feels cheated. Take this one, for example. If we were to concentrate on the few minutes of Waimea shorebreak for the title, it’d probably get a few eyes. But we could also focus on the part where Scummy—who appears to be some kind of Poopies replacement—eats a cockroach, and that would also do well. Or we could do both, which we’ve gone with for no particular reason except that it gave us something to talk about.
