You may have noticed that 2018 was a good year for waves. Perhaps nowhere else on earth was as good as Western Australia, which saw more than a few larger-than-average days. “Some heavy days of surf passed through Western Australia this winter,” wrote Alasdair Evans, the filmmaker responsible for the five minutes of beauty you see above. “I documented those days and put together this edit of some of the heaviest waves that were surfed. The locals sure know how to send it.”
