The surf of the Great Lakes has long seized the imaginations of surfers everywhere. Created by wind moving across the longest freshwater bodies of water in the United States, the waves in the area get surprisingly good. It’s no longer a secret. Pockets of stoked surf culture has popped up in places you’d never imagine like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
Well, Dylan Graves wanted a piece of that inland aloha. And from the looks of his first installment of ‘Weird Waves’ for 2019, he kinda scored some legit surf. How awesome is it to see the locals celebrate a really good surfer coming to their home break and surfing the hell out of their waves? So cool.
