If you’re going to take a trip to Indonesia, there are more than a handful of spots you need to surf. Lakey Peak is one of them, and, if you’ve got the time (you should make the time), Simuelue, that “hidden” gem off Sumatra’s west coast. Isabella Nichols, a Coolum Beach, Queensland surfer with a World Junior Championship trophy in her pocket, took one trip to Lakey Peak, headed home, then realized she didn’t get enough… so she went back and scored Simuelue.
