In case you haven’t heard – which is unlikely since pro surfers seem to love complaining about tourist traffic on the North Shore on Instagram – much of the collective surf world has descended on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
For locals who call the place home, that can only mean one thing. Long waits at Foodland and lineups that are a bit more crowded than normal. One strategy for dealing with the latter, as illustrated by Nate Florence and Kiron Jabour here, may be to grab a buddy and take the carpool lane every once in a while.
