The Inertia

Kai Lenny gets a certain look in his eyes when he’s talking about big wave surfing. That look was there a lot in February because Nazaré had a run of swell that hasn’t been seen for a long, long time. For days, Portugal’s famed big wave spot went completely nuts, and all the best big wave surfers in the world were there to enjoy it. During that insane run, the inaugural Nazaré Tow Surfing Challenge fired the horn. All eyes were on team Young Bulls, which consisted of Hawaii’s Kai Lenny and Brazil’s Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca. And man-oh-man, did they deliver.
