The Inertia

Australia is a big place. So big, in fact, that Broome, stuck way out there in the northern part of Western Australia, is closer to Indonesia than it is to Perth, the capital of WA.

It’s got a lot going for it. Incredible countryside, beautiful beaches, art and culture… and of course, waves… sometimes. “I’ve never spoken to anyone who said they’ve scored waves up there,” said Harry Bryant. “So it was definitely a wild call going up there.”

Since it’s full of wildlife like jellyfish and crocodiles, so Broome isn’t exactly a world-famous surfing destination. Jay Davies and Harry Bryant, however, watched as a cyclone swell rolled towards the region and decided to pull the trigger on what turned into a very interesting trip.
