The Inertia

You know all that imagery we all drool over each year to get us psyched to go ride? Or those park hits we watch pros on and then go hit ourselves? Well, the people who create those videos and pictures and park hits are mostly freelancers and freelancers the world over have been hit hardest by the Coronavirus crisis – not in terms of getting sick (although that’s probably happened, too) but in terms of jobs. The first thing to go down during any period of economic instability are freelancers.

Nitro Snowboards has started a GoFundMe campaign to help freelance photographers, videographers, and park builders. If you’re one of those freelancers effected by this economic disaster, you can sign up here for financial assistance. If you have a few extra shekels and have enjoyed quality imagery and park hits during your lifetime, you should definitely donate here. The GoFundMe campaign has a goal of $60,000 Euros or just over $65,000 USD.

“We are talking about the freelance photographers, videographers, media creators, and park shapers,” reads a release from Nitro. “People that get up earlier, stay out longer and create late into the night to provide the snowboard community with inspiration, documentation, and features. The situation and longterm effects are changing every day, but we believe that the snowboard community can help support those who have always given us amazing photos, videos, artwork, parks, and selfless passion over the years get through this, together.”

You can donate to the GoFundMe page, here, and sign up for assistance, here.
