Snapt 4 is somewhere out there. It’s not quite finished yet, but things are moving along. The edits are being stitched together. The music is being picked. The arduous process of choosing which waves are the best out of a bag chock-full of incredible waves ridden by incredible surfers is well underway. We’ve had a few glimpses at some of the footage — a pool party, Jack Robinson’s insane b-roll, etc. — and in September, Mason Ho released the behind-the-scenes footage you see above.
Snapt 4 is, obviously, the fourth film in the Snapt series. With Mason Ho, Clay Marzo, Jack Robinson, the Moniz bros, Parker Coffin, Eithan Osborne, and Ian Crane, it features a lineup of some of the most exciting surfers alive. For months, they’ve been stockpiling clips hoping to snag the $40,000 prize for the best three-minute clip. Over the summer, some of the crew rented out the BSR Resort in Waco and bashed it to pieces for eight hours straight. Mason Ho documented the whole thing with surfing from Sheldon Paishon, Clay Marzo, Josh Moniz, Seth Moniz, Parker Coffin, Ian Crane, Eithan Osborne, Benji Brand, Logan Dulien, The Sherpa, and Ravi Das… and we’re so glad he did.
