A film that makes me yearn for the post-college trip to Australia that never was – thanks, Coronavirus. It’s been a tough and difficult year for a lot of different people, travelers especially. While I wasn’t able to make it down to the Sunshine Coast in 2020, those who call it home like Tai Jennison and his “Home Bros” were down there to make the most of being stuck along one of the most surfable stretches of coastline in the world. So surfable, in fact, that they made a film about it. Featuring three of Australia’s best up and coming surfers, Alister Reginato, Cooper Davies, and Noah Stocca, all masterfully shot and edited by Jennison himself (as well as independently funded). Home Bros will get you stoked for the sun and warm water which is (hopefully) right around the corner for us here in the States.
