The Inertia

Despite nearing the second half of his 30s, Dane Reynolds hasn’t lost a step. Or a beat. Or…..well, you get it. Dude still rips. To this day, there’s nothing like an agro-aggressive Dane Reynolds down carve where he puts all of his frustrations into destroying a wave face. It’s a thing of beauty for those of us who appreciate performance. Unhinged performance that the surfing world still hasn’t ever really been able to define. Unhinged in the most original of ways.

But Dane has grown sentimental as he’s aged. Instead of just highlighting himself – which he was never really that good at anyway – he’s brought the focus to his community living in the Ventura region. The characters, the friends, the other young rippers who have benefited from watching a generational CT-level surfer walk away from competition and simply concentrate on surfing his home breaks, really, really well. That’s what Dane’s Chapter 11 TV has become. This is his latest.

We’re not sure if Dane appreciates us or any surf pub embedding his vids. But f*** it, this is just too good not to share.
