The Inertia

There’s a reason why Western Australia produces surfers who appear to be weirdly comfortable in waves of serious consequence: those waves are more common there. When you grow up throwing yourself over thick ledges exploding on shallow slabs of rock, it becomes semi-normal. Your local spot might be a place most surfers would tuck tail and run from.

Which is exactly why heads over at Billabong sent out a few of their best and brightest. Creed McTaggart, Jai Glindeman, Joel Parkinson, Ryan Callinan, Italo Ferreira, Ethan Ewing, Isabella Nichols, Mia McCarthy, Griffin Colapinto, Jack Freestone, Liam O’Brien, Seth Moniz, and Sid Englert and tackled the wild, raw energy and cold waters of Western Australia in the latest YouTube offering, Good Call.

It’s a fun little trek through a whole bunch of waves with a whole bunch of surfers, and it’s just a little more proof that you likely didn’t need that West Aus is a good place to be a surfer.
