The Inertia

When Jaws gets big, there are a few people who will move mountains to be there. Two of them are Ian Walsh and Kai Lenny, both of whom are featured in the video you see above.

On December 2, the buoys off Maui began to move. The incoming swell was going to be a big one, so the crews packed their float suits, gassed up the skis, waxed up their guns, and began to prepare. Ian Walsh had a camera crew filming from dawn on, and the edit shows a very intimate look at what it takes to surf the biggest waves in the world.
