Raw fish that’s been left in the sun too long? I’ll pass. Dane and Tanner Gudauskas riding experimental CI surf craft with Japan’s Kaito Ohashi? I’ll take two, please. The Gudang bros seem to always have some sort of trippy new shape under foot, whether that’s Dane’s entries into the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing the past couple of years, or Tanner in a wave pool. When it comes to surfing, these guys think differently, and Channel Islands, it seems, are down to make them just about anything when it comes to surfboards.
“The right board really makes a difference in generating speed when the waves are small,” says Dane via Instagram. “This is a zippy little twin fin performance fish concept my brothers and I have been working on with the CI crew. It gives you all the juice you need when you’re looking to fly, even for the big birds…”
Speaking of birds, the Gudang bros are also lucky enough to have a friend like Kaito, one of Asia’s top surfers on the QS, who can make anything look like magic under his feet. And while I don’t have any idea what the above video has to do with raw fish, the surfing speaks for itself.
