The Mentawai Islands have so many nooks and crannies. So many places to get lost… and get waves. Well, this is Telescopes and one helluva swell. The edit was put together by young Indie Malherbe and features a beautiful left-hand setup looking absolutely perfect. Indie calls it the “Swell of a Lifetime.” While we can’t confirm this, the South African is still young. So maybe “for his lifetime.” Then again, he probably knows the swell patterns here as well as anyone. He’s spent most of his life at sea as his parents have long been into surf exploration, especially in Indonesia.
