The Inertia

Surfing doesn’t need a story. That’s what Snapt, the decades-long series by Logan “Chucky” Dulien has proven. Where many surf films feel the need to weave surfing footage into a grand narrative, or some think piece about the meaning of the sport, entries in the Snapt series just care about one thing: delivering a breakneck series of heart-pounding edits set to great music.

The long-awaited fifth entry in the Snapt series has been on the horizon for a while now, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t just as exciting when another breadcrumb gets left for us. The latest comes from YouTube – an edit called FLAPT with just under four minutes of clips scraped together from the Snapt5 cutting room floor. In it, Noa Deane spends 72 hours in Western Australia, taking to the waves and skies in equal measure.

Per the YouTube description, the water photography was shot by Tom Jennings, while the land angle and edit was done by by James Kates.
