Everything from the early 2000s is back, in one way or another. Bucket hats curse the heads of our youth once again. Ill-fitting pants and aggressively hemmed tops are back in style. Labubu even brought back the fad toy, somehow managing to resemble the misshapen offspring of Furbys, Trolls, and Beanie Babies all at once. Now the humble razor scooter has returned from its long slumber – this time bolted onto the deck of a surfboard.
The contraption can be seen in an Instagram video posted by the account i.love.chicken.joe. It appears the madmen featured in the edit have literally bolted a set of severed scooter handlebars onto the deck of a shortboard. They also thoughtfully wrapped it in pool noodles and a tennis ball for the sake of safety and a little bit of extra buoyancy.
The whole thing is deeply stupid, but in the best way possible.
What’s more, the thing kind of rips. At least more than you would expect. As the caption points out, it also has the potential to allow the rider to pull off aerials on easy mode – if they dare.
“No backflips yet,” they wrote. “DM if you have the juice to pull it off ”
