The Inertia

East Coasters didn’t get to have all the fun this hurricane season. Southern California YouTube channel I’m a Surfer, Dude, just posted a video of what happened when Hurricane Narda finally hit The Wedge.

There’s been a lot made of how unusually quiet this Atlantic hurricane season has been. At one point, nearly a month went by without any named storm at all. That dry spell was eventually ended by Hurricane Gabrielle. On the other hand, there were a few highlights, including when Erin kicked up some pretty hefty swells on both sides of the ocean.

Meanwhile, the Pacific is on its 14th named storm of the season: Hurricane Narda. The storm formed off the coast of Mexico last week. While it didn’t promise any all-time swell, Narda did send some surf towards Southern California, and it looked like the regulars at The Wedge got in on the action.
