According to the infallible scientific method known as searching Google, your typical three-bedroom home in Prescott, Arizona sells for around $600,000. Factor in things like lot size/acreage, amenities, upgrades, and just like any other home-buying market, that price tag is going to fluctuate. You’re probably only going to find one place with this amenity though — the DIY backyard wave pool that Ben Gravy and Blair Conklin helped go viral just a week ago — and it’s going to cost its next owner a cool $15 million.
The pool is a prototype for The Wave Source, an operation nobody really knew about until Gravy and Conklin visited the property. While wave pools themselves aren’t all that shocking nowadays, the idea of a DIY project a few guys put together in their backyard was, of course, intriguing to anybody and everybody on the internet. From a practical standpoint, their intention was to create something more affordable, more energy efficient, and therefore more profitable. So, now the company has a wave of publicity and, pending a $15-million sale, a lot of fresh capital to grow with.

They call the 40-acre property The Wave Pool Ranch. A for-sale listing on the company’s website features pictures of a rad main house with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a two-car garage in a remote area (more than 20 miles to the nearest Costco, In-n-Out, Trader Joe’s, and so on). There’s also a barn, a man cave, a casita, and it’s all zoned to build three more homes.
Oh yeah, and there’s that wave pool in the backyard. That’ll probably be a big selling point for somebody.
