Clay Marzo was made to be on a wave. Few surfers can match his effortless surfing – one that blends style and radical progression. He recently took all that talent to the Palm Springs Surf Club and the results speak for themselves.
Marzo was joined by the Catch Surf crew for the session – which of course meant the whole thing took place on a bevy of foam boards. However, the soft surf craft didn’t slow him down a bit, as he attempted airs, 360s and his signature “Clayback” inside the tube.
The visit was also a welcome sign of life for the PSSC, which has been faced with logistical issues since the very beginning of its existence. Earlier this year, the facility went under city review after facing a bevy of noise complaints from angry locals.
You wouldn’t know it from the edit though. The facility that Logan Dulien once called the “heaviest pool slab ever” is still chugging away at full speed.
