Snowboarders and skiers have a long history of animosity. Though the activities are close cousins, at the end of the day they are two different sports occupying the same space, and family disputes are frequent. However, a recent viral video proves that not only are the riders at odds, but the equipment may be out for blood as well.
In a hilarious series of events caught on video by Melbourne-based Italian skier Francesco Eri, a wayward snowboard wreaked havoc on a ski slope in the Dolomites. By the time the unmanned gear came to a rest, it had taken out not one, not two, but three unsuspecting skiers in its path of destruction.
For his part, Eri, who works as a ski guide in the Dolomites, had one piece of wry wisdom to share: “That’s why you never take your board off on a slope,” he wrote in the caption.
