A lot of us are lucky if we get a few waves in one session. Be it a result of fickle conditions, crowded lineups, or just plain lack of skill, sometimes it can feel like a struggle to get even one solid ride. With that in mind, Ben Gravy decided to add insult to injury and show us all that he could get 100 waves in a single day.
The feat was documented in his latest YouTube video, where Gravy took a trip to Virginia Beach to surf Atlantic Park, a Wavegarden-powered pool that opened up just a year ago. With the park delivering wave after chlorinated wave, Gravy was able to easily stack up enough rides to complete the challenge – the only thing in his way was his own capacity to endure punishment.
“Ended up being a total cakewalk,” he summed up afterwards. “The 48-wave session really made it pretty simple, pretty easy. As long as you just dehydrate yourself, make your entire body sore, and keep yourself awake when you’re about to doze off in the middle of the pool, you can surf 100 waves in one day.”
