The Inertia

The son of Joel Tudor has some mighty big shoes to fill. After all, going into the family business as the eldest son of one of the surfing world’s premiere longboarders (and perennial internet grump) brings with it certain expectations.

Luckily, Tosh Tudor meets those expectations with aplomb.

For evidence, look no further than Tosh Tudor’s latest YouTube offering. Appropriately entitled ‘Fancy Footwork,’ the edit showcases the Tudor family scion’s effortless moves on a longboard. Over the course of just a little over eight minutes, he dances across fun-sized waves in dreamy conditions. And the whole thing is set to an appropriately groovy backing track, natch.

“A morning and evening on the North Shore,” writes Tudor in the caption. The laconic tone matches the no-frills video, where he mostly lets his footwork do all the talking. Except for one moment in the middle:

“What’s your name? What do you do?” Asks the cameraman.

“My name is Tosh Tudor. I get barreled, bitch.” he replies.
