Iselle is here. The storm earned its name last week as it generated wind speeds of 65 mph southwest of Cabo San Lucas. Now, we’re starting to see what that means for Southern California surfers.
We have footage of the ensuing action thanks to YouTube mainstay BEEFS TV. The Wedge regulars trekked over to Newport Beach, where a horde of Orange County wave riders took advantage of the swell Iselle sent their way.
Of course, being Southern California, the surfers seem to be battling each other as much as the waves. But those able to emerge from the crowded lineup were treated to barrels galore (and punishing closeouts). And it’s all accompanied by Beefs’ trademark narration.
