Mason Ho has a new movie. That in and of itself should be enough to pique your interest, but we can still go into some more detial to seal the deal.
Caveheart II, as the title suggests, is a follow-up to Ho’s 2024 film Caveheart. In that picture, Mason and his frequent collaborator Sheldon Paishon go on a surf trip through a land not often associated with waves, but nonetheless full of slabs to be ridden: Scotland. In the process, they came out with one hell of a surf movie – cold water be damned.
The second time around proves just as fruitful, with Mason and Paishon scoring thick barrels in freezing waters. As always, the effort is accompanied by Ho’s decidedly eclectic taste in music.
“Once more, Mason Ho and Sheldon Paishon set forth to old world lands in search for waves no sane man seeks,” reads the caption. “Armed with THICK rubber and questionable judgment, the boys score icy liquid caves breaking directly on bone crushing reef. There shall be barrels. There shall be beatings. Concessions? Of course.”
