After what seemed like the world’s longest lay day, the Quik Pro France finally put day seven in the books. Hossegor’s La Graviere began to look like the France we love to see, serving up clean 4-6 foot waves and allowing for the completion of the third round of competition.
Event number eight on the ASP World Championship Tour, the conditions called for a four-day holding pattern before turning on again, allowing the world’s best surfers to get back to work.
After three rounds, the Quik Pro France has been slimmed down to twelve surfers. The Quik Pro France plays a major role in the race for the World Title, as well as the Top 34’s requalification campaigns.
Surfers and event organizers will reconvene at 7:45am tomorrow at the main site of La Graviere to re-assess conditions and decide of the day’s schedule.
