The final day of the Pipe Masters saw plenty of close calls, deep barrels, high scores and some heartbreak. Mick Fanning pulled two heats out of his hat and came from behind against CJ Hobgood and Yadin Nicol only to get waxed by local boy, and Triple Crown winner, John John Florence. However, it was all he needed to take the world title. The Pipe Masters was all Kelly Slater’s as he beat out John John Florence in a closely contested final.
