I was born and raised in Northern California with a lust for exploration and travel. Living far from the coast and any drop of surf culture, I picked up a love of photography before I found surfing. After a taste of the glide on a Hawaiian vacation, I found my way to interact with the ocean. Several years living in Santa Barbara cultivated my love and knowledge of surfing and gave me endless inspiration for landscape and surf photography. The people I came to call my friends there and the place itself continue to be a major inspiration in my photography, surfing and life in general. My roots are in film and the darkroom, so I enjoy employing a number of different cameras and formats in my work as well as shooting digital.
